Friends of St. Teresa Nzara South Sudan continues to save children’s lives along with the lives of their parents. Medical treatment, surgery, safe birthing and COVID 19 preparedness is possible through a decade of support from Australian donors assisting the Comboni Missionary Sisters who manage the hospital.
Donors have supported nurse training since 2019. These nurses provide current leadership in the hospital.
A solar power system provided from Australia in 2016 has met the hospital power requirements since and provides for the current upgraded facilities of theatres, wards and blood bank. A further system is planned.
